Cooking Sirloin Steak. Enjoy This Ranch Platter Recipe

Cooking sirloin steak sometimes presents problems. The steak may turn out too dry or burned or too tough on undone. Plenty of these items may go wrong, but this recipe should produce a terrific steak for you and your family.

    Ranch Steak Platter

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano leaves
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon country-style Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic

    Steak

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak
  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak
  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, sliced ¼ inch
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut into 2 inches
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut into 1 inch strips

    Cooking on the range

In the ten inch skillet stir together all the marinade ingredients. Coat both sides of the steak with marinade; place in the same skillet. Place carrots and onion around the steak in marinade mixture. Cover; cook over medium high heat, turning once, until browned. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining ingredients, cover, cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crispy tender and meat reaches desired doneness (5 to 7 minutes for medium).

    Cooking in the microwave

Cut steak in half. In a 2 quart casserole stir together all marinade ingredients. Coat both sides of the steak with marinade ingredients; place in the same casserole. Place carrots and onion around steak in marinade mixture.

Cover; microwave on HIGH turning steak over after half the time (8 to 10 minutes). Add remaining ingredients. Cover; microwave on HIGH until vegetables are crisply tender and meat reaches desired doneness ( 5 to 7 Minutes for medium).
